Perfect list to get back on track with those new years resolutions

It’s the new year and everyone is making their new year’s resolution for 2012. And obviously the top new year’s resolutions are always to exercise more and lose weight. Well, I’ve compiled a list of 100 songs to run to. These songs have great beats to help make your workouts a little more enjoyable.

It’s perfect if you make a playlist on your iPod titled “Running Songs” so you can just leave it on shuffle as you run. I’ve attached links to the songs that direct you to Youtube.

I tried to get a variety of songs to suit different people. Old and new songs, hip-hop and alternative, for men and for women, etc. I encourage you to listen to a song or two that you’ve never heard of. Who knows? Maybe you’ll find your new favorite song to run to (you can never have too many.) Happy running!

Zara SS13 – My Picks

Spring/Summers here! Well in the shops anyway. I’m presuming with the snow you’re not particularly in the mood to go shopping for your summer wardrobe but theres nothing like shopping for summer to take your mind off the snowy outdoors and think of holidays to come.

In Zara’s new collection, I’ve noticed a lot of monochrome, some in the form of stripes which are apparently back in for this season and they do it really well. They have some cute new shoes in as well and I must say, although sometimes a little pricey, I really do love their bags. Remember there tan coloured bucket bag that every man and his dog had? I still see them about town these days so they know how to set a trend! Have a look at the rest of the collection online or instore.

One Song Wednesday – 16th January 2013

Justin Timberlakes back!!!!!!! with a new track featuring jay-z (although not sure he was needed on the track) and produced by none other than Timabland (did you expect it to be anyone else) and its called ‘Suit and Tie’

I had to double check (using shazam of course) that this was in fact Justin. Not sure what I think…Its a different take on his usual sound

What do you think?

‘Come Away With Me’

I’ve recently bought a new nail varnish as I’ve noticed that all my nail colours are Pink or some variation of pink so it was definitely time for a new one….new year new me and all that.

I really like the colour and it makes a change from the normal ones. It’s called come away with me and can be bougth form H&M for £2.99. I usually only buy the standard rimmel and barry M (sometimes the Jessia and Leighton Denny when I’m around my friends!) but i really like this one. You do have to wipe the brush on the side of the pot a little more than normal as the brush is thin and a lot attaches to the brush but it goes on nicely and you only need one coat. The photos is me having worn it for a day and having been swimming to so it seems to last a while.

Scandaleyes waterproof mascara – Rimmel

Rimmel Scandaleyes

I’ve been in the market for a new mascara recently. New year, new you and all that. I’ve been using the Maybelline Great Lash waterproof mascara which i blogged about before (click the link to see) The Great Lash is a great mascara and it really is good when waterproof, which was great when I took it away travelling.

But today, after having seen this mascara being promoted anywhere and everywhere, I thought I’d give it a go.

Initial thoughts from first application: As I’m only wearing it in the day, its just enough and not too heavy. It opens up the lashes too which is nice. I did have visions of me finishing the application to find myself looking like i was wearing false lashes but i didn’t quite have the result i was expecting.

Would I buy it again? Most probably not. I wouldn’t buy it for my make up kit for a night out however possibly to wear in the day. But why would you buy a mascara that promises big things just to wear for mundane tasks?!

You can buy this mascara from most retailers such as Superdrug and Boots and it currently on offer at £4.99 (RRP £6.99) Let me know what you think

One Song Wednesday – 9th January 2013

Established in 2010, Icona Pop is a Swedish DJ and synthpop duo with electro house music, punk and indie pop influences.

I first heard this song in Topshop and thought it was very fitting to the brand, sums up Topshop quite well…..then I immediately shazammed it. I really enjoyed the upbeatness of the track and definitely think the pair are a duo to look out for in the future.

They’re currently touring in the US at the moment. Check them out!
